The Ely Trust recognises traditional ownership and provides community with opportunities in the form of grants which range from individual funding, business funding and community projects funding.  These grants are accessible to approved applicants from the six Traditional Owner Groups and three Community Council Groups.

The Ely Trust recognises that caring for Country also means planning for the future so that future generations can benefit through grant applications.

All applications must be submitted at least 21 days before a board meeting, and application forms should be sent via email to elygrants@elytrust.com.au. For a full list of 2026 Board meeting dates, please refer to Trust Meetings page.

It is at the Board’s discretion whether an application will receive funding. The Trust offers three distinct types of grant applications:
